Although there is only now, we can't really account for all the "nows" we experience din the "past." In fact, those nows are just as now as the nows we consider now, but because of all the now, we have "memories" to recollect the now pushed aside by the other nows. Is it the past then? Not necesarily. Just becasue there is growth doesn't mean there is time. Time is just a way of understanding the nows in all of their nowness. So why do we have such a long now? It is only long if we think about it. Time flies. A tree must be so bored we think. But, a tree has the same now as us, just a different rate of growth. It is satisfied. If you are not, you may feel stuck in your now due to lack of growth. Grow more and now goes back to now.

out of the mountain

If you were dropped into the middle of a mountain without food or water, the first thing you would do is make a plan for your next steps and set out on immediately achieving them. You wouldn't sit down and just give up on your life. That would absolutely not even be considered as an option. So you need to do this. Wherever you are. Whatever situation you are in. Apply this and move forward. So you can get out of the mountain and move on with your life.
