A mayfly has a very short lifespan. One day. Which to us seems very short. "That is only one rotation of the earth!" We may say. But it is all relative isn't it? One day to a mayfly IS like a lifetime. Maybe time goes slower for it. Unlike a tree, which likely sees time in a totally different sense.
